Hellbound

Hellbound hail from the south west city of Gloucester. Formed in early 2005 Hellbound are made up of experienced musicians of previous bands which see Dave Pollock taking up the guitar duties, Jon Penn on the bass and Dan Ellis with the sticks. Several practises and many beers later the band came up with a few songs and soon brought in long time friend Ben Lee on guitars, thus completing the line-up and setting out on their path of destruction and mindfucking metal...oh and did i forget to mention, a hell of a lot more alcohol consumption. Getting fed up and just down right sick to the stomach of all the crappy bands around today, they took their alcohol fueled passion for metal, their unwillingness to tow the corporate line and bow down to commercial acceptance, their no frills punk attitude intertwined with heavy, aggressive riffs and drum beats and set about contributing to keeping metal alive, as most, if not all metal bands in the south west and across the globe do today. Hellbound recorded their Debut 5 Track EP, Destruction Inc in April 06' and since then has played alongside many big names such as Torsohorse, The Wildhearts, Rattlesnake Remody, Orange Goblin, Hell's Bells, Neville Staple, Fun Lovin' Criminals and InMe to name but a few and continue to gain a larger fan base everyday.

Voodoo Johnson

With a sound spanning the decades, from the blues-rock royalty of Zeppelin and Sabbath, through the stadium-filling riffs of Guns n’ Roses and the dark atmospheres of Alice in Chains, right up to the hard-hitting grooves of Queens of the Stone Age, Voodoo Johnson are proudly flying the flag for ROCK, in a soulless era of manufactured reality shows, snazzy special effects, and over-choreographed dance routines...

Formed in 2006 in Birmingham (UK), the band’s hard work and constant gigging earned them support slots with the likes of Duff McKagan’s Loaded, Zico Chain, Valient Thorr, Sign, Hawkwind and Tokyo Dragons. They also played at the KERRANG MCN final after beating off competition from 500 other acts from around the UK. These gigs enabled the band to sell over 1000 copies of their ‘II’ EP, released in February 2008 to great response.

Radio plays by Bruce Dickinson on the BBC Radio 6 Rock Show, and Alex Zane on Myspace Mars Planets Radio further enhanced their reputation, as did a roaring session on TV Show Ditto Music Live on Sky Channel Red TV. The Midlands based rockers are soon to release their hotly anticipated 2nd EP entitled "Into The Red" on 2nd March 2009. With Gavin Monaghan (Kings of Leon, Editors, Ryan Adams) at the helm, they have crafted a release of BIG, Epic, Hard Hitting Rock songs exploring themes such as loss, regret and revenge. 2008 proved to be a hugely successful year for Voodoo Johnson, but this should come as no surprise after the hard work that has been squeezed into such a short space of time. With the utmost commitment to their music plus a rare creative drive and a real loyalty to their fans, it looks as though they’ll take this year by storm too.

Fury UK

Fury UK was formed originally by Chris Appleton back in 2002 in Manchester, UK. After a few line-up changes the band has developed an ever-increasing reputation for captivating live performances inspired by Chris' guitar work & a selection of hard rock compositions with fantastic ingredients such as hooks, time changes, key changes, big solos & meaningful lyrics. A band with riffs, attitude & a bedrock rhythm section. If you like your rock & metal in an old school vein but with a modern twist, you've come to the right place.

Influences are diverse but centre on 70s hard rock, early 80s British heavy metal, with just enough progressive & modern elements to make the sound relevant & contemporary. Artists that have inspired Fury UK, although not necessarily outwardly obvious in the band's sound, are Iron Maiden, Metallica, Rush, Steve Vai, Black Sabbath, Joe Satriani.

Through a small number of demo releases & a busy gig schedule the band furthered its' reputation up to 2007 when the first official album release "Face Of Adversity" arrived via Rocksector Records. This is a diverse collection of songs, reflecting the diverse influences of the band members at the time. Unfortunately it was that diversity that perhaps was the undoing of that line-up & a change was enforced with effect from October 2007.

Fury UK then took a more channelled hard rock / metal sound. Live performances have taken on a new energy particularly worthy of the old school metal influences & a new EP "Salvation" was released in February 2008. The band has written brand new material for their 2nd official album which is to be entitled "VR", plus a bonus track that fans know very will also feature. Release date : 13th July 2009.

Somnus

Coming from influences such as Slayer, Lamb of God and old school Metallica ! SOMNUS are one of Bristols heaviest and most exciting live acts for a long time !! The demon riffs and pounding beats are engineered only to destroy even the most hardened metal listener. The bass sound alone with have your mother running for cover screaming out WHY !! It does sounds like the very Devil himself is screaming venom down your throat but thats the brutality that is Somnus !! This band are not for the faint hearted so hide away the children and find a priest .. Its time for SOMNUS !!!!!!!!

Riot Noise

Guitars are slung, rather than worn (thigh height at a mandatory 45 degrees, or bolt upright if soloing), mic stands are mere props on which to lean out over the crowd, monitors are foot rests, and each drum hit is attempted skinicide. This pre-Nirvana hard rock convention extends to every last note and every last insouciantly open-mouthed facial expression. They’re immaculate and bloody marvellous, very likely pliers of the best set of the day. You suspect they’d play this committedly to a pensioner on a park bench! – Julian Owen, Editor – Venue Magazine. May 2009.

The Original Sinners

From the depths of Kent to the suburbs of London The Original Sinners have forged a sound comprising of Folk, hard driven blues to electro landscapes. The Sinners story began in 2006 when brother and sister Charlotte (vox) and Marc Brereton (Guitar/vox) met bassist Pete Clements and drummer Billy Pleasant. They began writing and performing together all over the South East playing venues such as at The Metro, Islington bar academy, 93 feet east, Dingwalls, The Borderline and The 333, Searching for the ultimate sound made them feel the need to make stuff a bit more interesting and so the line-up was completed a year later with Matt Garrick adding some Synth/Hammond madness. The original sinners have been working hard in the Moomba productions studio and have just finished what they feel are their strongest tracks to date. With a summer of festivals rearing its head the sinners are ready to get back out doing what sinners do best. Rocking their socks off..
