A whole host of rock and metal bands have been confirmed to play live on two stages at the 24th annual Bulldog Bash. Entertainment in the massive Main Stage Marquee kicks off on Thursday August 12th at 5.15pm, and at midday on Friday August 13th on the huge brand new outdoor Area 81 Rock Club Stage.
Cllr Peter Barnes: "I welcome the bikers to the county, we have enjoyed the festival for many years and continue to do so."
Shakespeare County Raceway today welcomed thousands of hardy bikers to the Bulldog Bash motorcycle festival; despite rain showers and a huge Police operation. Visitors began to arrive from midday, having negotiated a hugely unnecessary stop and search operation championed by ACC Bill Holland of Warwickshire Police.
Bikers from all over Europe arrived early for a mass ride into the site, with Chairman of Warwickshire County Council Peter Barnes and his wife Stella on hand to welcome the bikers to Warwickshire before cutting the ribbon and declaring the event officially open at 2pm.
Speaking shortly after the opening Cllr Peter Barnes said “I welcome the bikers to the county, we have enjoyed the festival for many years and continue to do so; I wish all the visitors a good weekend of festivities.” He continued “We never have any trouble from the bikers and don’t expect to, the event is a major benefit to Stratford and the local community, with local attractions, such as TWR steam railway, benefiting greatly”.
Ever popular Bulldog Bash attractions include live music, a huge custom show, jet cars and rocket bikes which will be hurtling down the drag strip all weekend, punctuated by the ever popular ‘run-what-you-brung’ sessions and top stunt bike performances.
Among many highlights promised are Motorhead, UFO and Oliver/Dawson SAXON playing live, the Ken Fox ‘Wall of Death’ show and a fairground full of white knuckle rides, alongside a massive village of trade stalls selling all kinds of biking and alternative lifestyle kit.
Tickets are still available at the gate for just £55; the price includes all live entertainment and camping for the weekend.

“The Bulldog Bash is in a league of its own, easily ranking among the best festivals in the world, if not actually taking that crown and sticking a nitrous kit on it to see how fast it will go.” Nick Ruskell, Kerrang!
